SCOPE FOR RESEARCH/INTERNSHIP

The Centre invites persons interested in legal research, postcolonial theory, feminist theory and subaltern studies, to submit research proposals to the institution. The Centre has sponsored many researchers over the years both as interns and as visitors. Students or researchers must send us their curriculum vitae, a two to three page research proposal and at least two names and addresses of referees who can be contacted.

LIBRARY

The central feature of the Centre is its library. We are building an extensive collection of books and journals, Indian and foreign, in each of our specific research areas. For further details, access our online access to the library. We also encourage individuals to avail of our library facilities, during the Centre's working hours.

GENDER, LAW AND SEXUALITY EXCHANGE PROGRAMME

The Centre has an ongoing research exchange programme on the area of gender, law and sexuality, with the Keele Law School and Leeds University, U.K. The Indian researchers, selected by the Centre, spend four to six weeks at these British institutions, in order to carry out research and participate in the intellectual life of the host institution. The scheme covers the accommodation, travel and living costs of the visiting researcher. A major requirement for the exchange is that the chosen applicants undertake to contribute to the development of the Centre's research programme and critical scholarship. The applicants can either be scholars or research students, and should submit their curriculum vitae as well as their research proposal in detail, for the purpose of selection to the Centre. For more details, please contact the Centre.

SEXUALITY, RIGHTS AND POSTCOLONIALISM EXCHANGE

The Centre is currently developing a new exchange programme. Details of this programme will be provided on our website in due course.
