Our primary objectives are

To develop a critical understanding of the role of law and policy in the lives of women and other disadvantaged groups through research and promoting critical scholarship.

To develop a multidisciplinary approach to legal studies and policy development by exploring the intersections between law , policy and other disciplines.

To develop feminist critiques and analysis of the limitations and possibilities of law and culture in the struggle for empowerment of disadvantaged groups or communities.

To publish and disseminate our research to a broad cross section of scholars and practitioners law and policy makers and analysts.
